The health and fitness industry has changed expodentially and it’s not slowing down any time soon. There are social networking sites sharing before/after photos (some photoshopped and others not) encouraging you to want to follow their routine both eating and exercise)

It’s easy to purchase, purchase, purchase with no understanding of how to use it or why. Confusion only sets in deeper staggering one’s growth. 

But don’t lose hope, yet…

You can still get fit, healthy and strong BUT only if you avoid these three major mistakes...

Mistake One

HAVING AN INCOMPLETE STRATEGY

Because my entire life revolves around helping others live an unlimited lifestyle, I’ve spent a tremendous amount of time learning what makes the best the best so I can model, experiment and improve upon these strategies for my clients. 

And what I’ve found is that while most people are struggling to get fit, be healthy and confident, there are people who come from all different forms of lifestyles and challenges who are accomplishing their goals, getting fit and living life to their fullest. They will continue to get healthier not unhealthier because they’ve created an approach that works for them in a way that most (that fail) do not.

These women are among the top 1% and the rewards are massive. So what allows them to run circles around everyone else? 

They have a complete strategy and excel in each of the core 6 elements of being fit, healthy and strong. And, in doing so…

  • What they eat becomes irrelevant…
  • No challenge overcomes their goals…
  • They know when to make time and when not to…
  • They are in control of their life and how they live…

When you know exactly what and how to implement each of these elements within your life it makes success virtually guaranteed.

Instead of wondering and hoping that all the work, time and money you’ve invested will pay off, you already KNOW it will.

This type of certainty is power. 

But missing just one of these elements significantly decreases the likelihood that you’re going to see the results you want. 

And while each element is vital, the most important (and most often done incorrectly) is the way your strategy is structured as you get started and as you advance to the next fitness level.

Which leads me to…

Mistake Two

STRUCTURING YOUR PROGRAM AND ROUTINE THE WRONG WAY

See, people are more than happy to follow what other successful people have to lose their weight and get fit. They think if that person succeeded their goals doing what they do then surely I can too.

The problem is what works for another is never guaranteed to work for another. Do you have the same body type? The same food favorites? The same eating or weight lifting schedule? What about injury’s? What do you do if you follow a specific routine and it hurts your old injuries? The list goes on and on and on. Any one of these could set you back for months if not years. 

So, the one’s who lose weight, get fit, healthy and strong are NOT the one’s who follow what others do. The one’s who win are the one’s who learn what works for them, their lifestyle, their quirks, likes/dislikes, mind-set and how to overcome THEIR challenges. 

Can you think of a time when you knew what you needed to do to reach a result but yet you still didn’t do it? Getting in shape is an easy example we can all relate to because you don’t have to be a rocket scientists to figure out what needs to be done….

Eat well, exercise more, sleep better and drink a tons of water. 

And yet the majority of the population isn’t anywhere near their fitness goals.

When I took a deeper look at what separated the successes from failures, I realized there were really five elements

REGRESSION: A program that causes overwhelm and confusion for various reasons such as information overload, disorganization or poor quality support. The results in moving closer or further away from your goal and devalues what you’re truly capable of

INFORMATION: We’re absolutely flooded with an overload of information. Everything you could ever want to know can be found in seconds with a simple Google or Bing search. 

But, here’s the problem… it takes a ton of time and effort to sift through all this content and determine what actually works for you and doesn’t. 

SYSTEMATIZATION: The second level of value is a program that takes complex information and delivers it in a friendly, easy to comprehend process or framework that’s liveable and long lived. Basically it’s providing a method to the madness. 

This is much more valuable but it falls short by not giving individuals the tools and resources to help make taking action easy.

IMPLEMENTATION: The advanced level uses a systematic approach to achieving a result and encourage consistent action. 

When people have clarity on exactly what they need to achieve step-by-step they are far more likely to do it. After all confusion is the stumbling block to action.

TRANSFORMATION: The final and most valuable component is one that inspires your transformation. This goes beyond learning a new concept or putting it into use. When learning how to work with who you are there is a framework to follow

USING THE WRONG APP PLATFORMS

Your membership site is the central hub of your course and brings everything to life. Therefore it should be built on a reliable platform that supports your business needs now and in the future. On top of that, the way it’s designed plays a big role in the perceived value. 

So love it or hate it – looks do matter.

As too often I see individuals agonize over which systems to use, and end up opting for what they think is the “easier” option. Only to find out that easy really isn’t that easy when the systems don’t support your needs. 

So, the much better and long term solution is to build your course in WordPress.

HERE'S 5 REASONS WHY...

GUARANTEE: When you don’t have a program that’s built around you you don’t have a guarantee that program will work for you. You like how they look but will their physique look good on you? Will their physique be functionable? Will the strength of your body be able to keep up with their workouts or will you injure yourself first?

When it comes to a rewarding experience I like to have a better direction and that only come’s from learning how to work with you and determining what that is. Unless you know how to determine what works best for you expect tons of trial and error. 

CUSTOMIZATION: With a pre-designed program what you see is pretty much what you get and you’re over-the-top limited with your overall results. 

When you create your own program it’s extremely simple to get the exact results you’re after and you don’t have to try program after program after program fretting lack of results or worse yet results taking you further away from your goal. It happens more than you think.

INTEGRATIONS: As your fitness levels begin to advance you can be guaranteed your needs will change. Each time a new set of challenges appear. 

When you design your own program you have extreme flexibility to integrate your exercise style and nutrition. 

AVOID FEES: such as gadgets, widgets, counting calories, pills, personal trainers and the list goes on. 

Save your money on what really matter.

When you don’t own the platform your course is built on you have no control over that system. Things can change at any time like monthly costs, transaction fees, integrations, design and layouts among others.

When it comes to a valuable business asset, I like to maintain as much control as possible and you probably feel the same way.

2) CUSTOMIZATION:

With 3rd party platforms what you see is pretty much what you get and you’re very limited with changes that can be made. 

When you create your course on WordPress using a theme with a drag-and-drop page builder, it’s extremely simple to design your course exactly how you want and you don’t have to use cookie cutter templates. 

3) INTEGRATIONS:

As your business grows and new technology is released there is a high probability that your needs will change in the near future. When your course is built on WordPress you have extreme flexibility to integrate with whatever you need instead.

4) AVOID FEES:

Third party platforms either charge high monthly fees or they charge a transaction fee. That means that every time you make a sale you have to pay a certain percentage to them on top of the 3% credit card fees.

5) MEMBERSHIP SITE CAPABILITY:

Adding a membership option is a great way to add a recurring revenue stream to your business and increase the customer lifetime value. When you create your course on WordPress you have a platform that can grow with your business.

SETTING YOURSELF UP FOR SUCCESS

After extensive market research, it was loud and clear that women who wanted to lift weights were pleading for an all-inclusive solution for getting started and getting fit.

And while there are other sources out there that show how to exercise the biggest complaint I’ve heard over and over was that the information was not thorough enough and there were still so many questions. was skimmed over the actual tech setup (which obviously is a very important piece).

So even after completing the course, they were still in a tech nightmare. 

At first I was so confused why all these courses on how to create a course just seemed to bypass the very thing that makes the course actually come together. 

But after a little more digging it made a lot more sense.

See, technology and software change constantly. New features are released, layout and designs change regularly and all of a sudden that step-by-step video lesson that was made showing how to do something is completely outdated.

SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR THE COURSE CREATOR?

Well, it means they have to recreate the content again and again.

So, it’s no wonder the tech is barely covered in these other programs. It’s just not worth their time. 

Luckily for me (and you) I have to recreate this training regardless because my agency designs courses day in and day out. Therefore, in order to onboard and train new employees, my tutorials can never be out of date. 

Because of this, I’m able to go where others won’t…
